Admissions Requirements
Southwest University is committed to academic excellence. Student success is our priority!
Undergraduate
Applicants must submit one of the following:
- High School Diploma (official transcript) showing completion, or
- GED equivalent, or
- A DD214 form (for Veterans/Military Service Members), or
- A Military Statement of Service indicating the high school name and date of graduation, or
- Official transcripts must be provided for transfer students who have completed courses toward an Associate Degree, or have completed an Associate Degree. Transcripts must be provided from an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution*.
In absence of the above, the University will also consider:
- Applicants who cannot meet the requirements: Those who have successfully completed 12 college-level semester credits and must have attained a C or higher for each course at an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution*, or
- International or Homeschooled students, who must provide an authenticated program completion document issued by a governmental authority or school supervisor documenting the successful completion of a program equivalent to an accredited high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Other prospective students with documentation concerns.
Graduate
Applicants must submit one of the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree from an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution*.
*Accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or an accepted foreign equivalent that is listed in the International Handbook of Universities.
